Follow the adventures of #Heathcliffe

Certificate King Cheetah allthingsjabu2014_smYou may remember from a previous post that All Things Jabu adopted a cheetah from the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre in Hartebeesport, named Heathcliffe. Heathcliffe is one of the king cheetah’s that was successfully bred in captivity. Although the centre started out with breeding Cheetahs in order to ensure their survival, it has since widened its program to include other endangered species like the African Wild dog, brown hyena, serval and riverine rabbits. The Centre does not receive any government funding and income generated from tours (which are outstanding) and the adoption programme is used to subsidise their conservation projects.

In 2015 we have decided to raise awareness for our friends the Cheetah Centre over and above the existing adoption of Heathcliffe and the Cheetah karting day that Dirk Vale organises to raise funds for the Centre. We have combined with Marcel Sigg or Run Ride Dive (Also massive supporters of the Centre, who adopted Snapper, an Egyptian Vulture), who along with Jabu and Dirk will be travelling with #Heathcliffe, the Cheetah mascot, on our various journeys and sharing the story of the Cheetah Centre along the way.

#Heathcliffe has already embarked on his first few journeys including an epic adventure to Taiwan with Marcel and we can confirm that Italy, Mozambique, Croatia and Namibia are all on the cards for our little companion. We also can confirm that #Heathcliffe will be joining us on the Unogwaja Challenge this year, which is going to be incredible.

Help us spread the word by sharing, re-tweeting and liking the images we post by keeping an eye out for #Heathcliffe.

You could also visit the Sanctuary in Hartebeesport and purchase your own #Heathcliffe or better still, adopt one of the many animals in need of assistance.
