You may previously have read that I am involved in the Unogwaja Challenge this year, no I am not taking part myself, but I am a member of the support crew and have helped the team build up some extra coverage.
I will also be heading down to the Comrades Marathon to be at the finish line to welcome the team including the likes of John McInroy, Andrew King, Thamar Clark and more. The group of individuals are taking on one of the toughest challenges of their lives so far, however they are not doing it just for self satisfaction, they are doing it to benefit others.
With 50 days left to go, the group has raised R 114 000 and would like to push this up to R 250 000. As such I have partnered up with Portuguese based Unogwaja member, Tiago Dionisio and would love to help him raise some funds. So if you would like to contribute and help the team you can do so right here. SMS Race 651 to 42030 and you will donate to the Sports Trust an amount of R30. You can also checkout www.race4charity.co.za and donate there.
And if you are in the Cape Town area for the start of Unogwaja 2013, you can compete in Day 1. All the details you need to know are right here. Do it, its the ShoOops thing to do!
