There is no hiding my affinity for both Arsenal and PUMA. To my delight a couple of seasons back they partnered up. Now heading into their third season together (21 seasons after Spurs last finished ahead of Arsenal – had to get that in there) PUMA have unveiled the new home kit for the Gunners who will be desperately looking to improve on the best league finish in a decade.
Drawing inspiration from the managers, players and moments that defined The Gunners throughout the 90’s, this modern interpretation of a classic merges innovative technology with design features that give a nod to Arsenal’s past.
Designed in the classic Arsenal home red, PUMA has created the new 2016/17 Home shirt based on the traditional and iconic home shirt treasured by fans. PUMA’s iconic T7 Form Stripe runs along each sleeve and a dropped tail and longer sleeves with cuffs give this shirt a refined look. Rounding off the design, the printed front graphic provides a modern approach and the heat transfer gothic “A”, inspired by the gothic font that featured on the club’s crest in the past, is the official signoff on the back neck area.

The Gunners also unveiled a new number for Alexis Sanchez, a clear sign that the Chilean is going nowhere to the delight of Gooners worldwide. PUMA have also released the home keeper kit that will be worn by Golden Glove winner Peter Cech in the 2016/17 season.
The Home Kit replica shirt (R999) will be available at PUMA, Totalsports, The Cross Trainer, Sportsmans Warehouse, Studio 88 and selected retailers nationwide. Arsenal’s Authentic Home Shirt – including packaging (R2599) and socks (R299) will be available at PUMA stores, while the shorts (R699) can be found at PUMA, The Cross trainer and selected retailers nationwide.
All Arsenal kit will be in-store from mid-June 2016.
