Today PUMA announced the full release of the PUMA evoPOWER Vigor 1, after the tease release a couple of weeks ago of the PUMA evoPOWER Vigor Camo. The new generation ‘power boot’ from Puma has been revamped with a load of upgrades from the previous edition.
And to do something a little bit different, we decided to pick a PUMA evoPOWER Vigor 1 XI, a team that is in some fantastic form and would be a challenge to beat. They definitely would #PlayLoud
GK – Peter Cech – Arsenal
The Arsenal shot stopper was remarked to be worth 12-15 points for Arsenal when they signed him. He has proven to fill the gap that Arsenal have had in the goals since the retirement of Jens Lehmann.
DF – Marc Bartra – Dortmund
The 26 year old, former Barca player, is the most recent signing to the PUMA team having joined in December 2016. If Marco Reus is the incredible striker up front at Dortmund, Bartra is the perfect foil at the back.
DF – Giorgio Chiellini – Juventus
He was bitten by Luis Suarez and lived to tell the tale. He has featured for Juventus for over a decade racking up more than 300 caps and has 90 caps for Italy to his name.
DF – Dante – Nice
He has earned 13 caps for the Brazilian national team, but it was at Bayern Munich that Dante became a household name, featuring 86 times including playing and winning the Champions League in 2013.
DF – Christian Fuchs – Leicester
He won the Premier League with Leicester, enough said.
MF – Yaya Toure – Manchester City
The driving force behind the “Aguero title” as Yaya inspired Man City to a late charge that culminated in winning the League. The long time PUMA star has won almost everything there is to win in the game.
MF – Gabi – Atletico Madrid
Having started his career at Atletico and moving on, he since returned and has featured a further 186 times. He also captained Atletico to the historic title in 2014.
MF – Grzegorz Krychowiak – Paris St. Germain
The Polish international is still finding his feet at PSG, but a star at Sevilla in his time with the Spanish outfit, where he was part of the Europa League winning side.
FW – Olivier Giroud – Arsenal
He has now scored 92 goals for Arsenal, including THAT one. The ridiculously handsome Frenchman is currently on a tear having scored in 9 consecutive games in which he has started and has made himself undroppable. Also netted a match winner with the limited edition evoPOWER Vigor Camo.
FW – Artitz Aduriz – Athletic Bilbao
His career is nearing its end now as the 35 year old slowly starts to wind down. But a record of 74 goals in 146 games for Bilbao show you just how lethal he can be. Arguably should have made more than his 11 appearances for Spain.
FW – Mario Balotelli – Nice
Far from the failure at Man City (where he won the title) and Liverpool, Balotelli is a man reborn in France where Nice lie in second place on the table. Balotelli has been a revelation so far scoring 10 in 13 games for the French side. All of that before he started wearing the new evoPOWER Vigors!
