5 Reasons to get to BPL Live

BPL Live (2)The Barclays Premier League (BPL) is the most watched league in the World and in South Africa we have a natural affinity towards it. You can watch anywhere up to six live games on a Saturday on Supersport and the BPL have acknowledged the love that South Africans give the league by announcing that BPL Live would be returning to South Africa for a second occasion on the 19-20 March. This time the host will be Camps Bay in Cape Town and it promises to be special. Having attended the Zoo Lake event here are five reasons why I think you have to get to BPL Live.

Its Free

Seriously. All you have to do is pre-register at www.bpllive.com or via dialling *134*275#. Still not enough, there is also free park and ride facilities from the Grand Parade, Mitchells Plain and Khayelitsha on a loop system to Camps Bay High School. Still not enough? Read on…

Its a chance to get one over your rivals

Its not everyday that you will get to watch your team with a large group of fellow fans while your opposition fans also have a big group. If your team wins its a great chance to get a couple of songs in, a couple of chirps in and just about the right level of burn. You can then go home like a well fed puppy and sleep happy.

You get to meet some Premier League Legends

Two of South Africa’s greatest Premier League players, Quinton Fortune and Lucas Radebe, will join other Barclays Premier League legends like Peter Schmeichel, Robbie Fowler and Shaun Goater in giving fans the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of their heroes. Throw in the sensational John Dykes and you can have a fangasm just by showing up.

You get to mingle with representatives of your Clubs

Many of us dream of interacting with the clubs we support and the unfortunate case is that its just too expensive to be a reality. The BPL Live though brings the Clubs to you the fan where you can talk to representatives, find out about deals and maybe even do a skills test or too. You can also make sure you get a photo with the Premier League trophy, especially the Liverpool fans…

Its Derby Weekend

Not just is BPL arriving in Cape Town in what promises to be a show stopping spectacular, but its coming for an outstanding weekend of football. Chelsea and West Ham play off in a London Derby before all eyes turn to the North East where a relegation battle Tyne-Wear derby will be one of the highlights of the weekend. Not enough for you? Well we round it off with the Manchester Derby as both sides look to derail the others target for the season. Its gonna be a cracker.
