“Innovation” gets thrown around a lot when we talk about sportswear. But if there was ever a brand that genuinely, meaningfully and consistently lived up to its definition, it would be PUMA. Central to this is the PUMA Disc: currently the world’s fastest non-lacing system and which this year celebrates 25 years in the business of helping fast men and women run faster.
This year saw the next evolutionary step of the PUMA, the IGNITE Disc and the EVOSPEED Disc Spike (launched by the Worlds fastest man Usain Bolt). Taking it to the next level PUMA Golf have no launched a limited-edition version of the TITANTOUR IGNITE Shoe fitted with its proprietary Disc technology for the ultimate comfort and fit.
PUMA’s proprietary DISC technology offers an alternative closure system that seamlessly tightens the shoe, providing a secure and snug fit. With a turn of the DISC dial, the internal wire system tightens the upper, while a simple turn in the opposite direction, allows the golfer to easily loosen the shoe.
Now my favourite golf shoe is the TITANTOUR that I have played in for nearly two years and have recently spent a lot of time in the PUMA IGNITE Disc, a collaboration of these two concepts together must surely produce the finest golf shoe available.
The Limited-Edition DISC shoe (R3 749), comes in two, gradient print colourways with a sleek chevron graphic: Red Blast/White/Black and White/Black. Both colour options will be available at the Pro Shop and select On-Course Stores from August 15, 2016. PUMA designed the Red and Black colourway to be worn by PUMA sponsored athletes in all categories at the upcoming Olympic Games.
